December, 20th 2007: New DOMAIN Album in 2008

While the recordings of the new album are in full swing, DOMAIN will set the flag for 2008. The nineth studio album of the band, which will be entitled "THE CHRONICLES OF LOVE, HATE AND SORROW", will be a concept album likewise the "LAST DAYS OF UTOPIA" album, but this time arranged and concieved as a "metal opera".

Vocalist Nick Ruhnow created a 12 chapter enfolding drama, based on the legendary epistolary novel DIE LEIDEN DES JUNGEN WERTHER by famous German poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. The opus will be performed by guitarist Axel Ritt, keyboarder Erdmann Lange, bassplayer Steven Wussow and Nick Ruhnow himself, enriched with hard and anthem metal, epic heavy rock and ballad elements.

Released for the first time in 1774, the story DIE LEIDEN DES JUNGEN WERTHER became a key work in German literature regarding the "Storm And Stress" period and describes an impossible love against all moral concepts, which provokes extreme emotional reactions up to the point of a spate of suicides among young readers of the novel.
One more time, the album will be produced by mastermind Axel Ritt.

October, 31st 2007: DOMAIN apologizes for missed Show in Cologne

Hi everybody,

DOMAIN would like to apologize to all their fans who found their way to Cologne Oct. 29th and did not meet the band at the venue. On their way back from the Switzerland-Show, because of an accident of a hazardous material truck, the German highway number 3 has been barricaded in both directions. The band has been trapped for about 6 hours and couldn´t reach the club in time. We would like to make a formal apology and we´ll try to catch up the show as soon as possible.


September, 21st 2007: DOMAIN at FRAMUS / WARWICK 25th Anniversary Party

Hi everybody,

last week Axel, Steven und CIRCLE OF PAIN bassplayer Sandro Lo Giudice have been invited for the FRAMUS / WARWICK 25th Anniversary Party at Markneukirchen / Germany.
Over 2.000 visitors, thereunder illustrious names like Francis Buchholz (Ex-Scorpions), Steffi Stephan (Udo Lindenberg), Bill Lawrence and Jonas Hellborg, countless performances and an extensive entertainment in the evening until 5 a.m. in the morning brought the event to a rakish.........;-))......experience.
By the way, a very nice poster of the Panthera Axel Ritt Guitar Model adorns the stairway of the showroom building, which has been built espacially for this event.



September, 7th 2007: DOMAIN Tour 2007 confirmed

DOMAIN proudly announces the confirmation of the autumn tour 2007 together with ASTRAL DOORS and SECRET SPHERE. Until now, the following shows are confirmed:

23.10. - D - Hamburg - "MarX" (with Astral Doors and Secret Sphere)
24.10. - D - Essen - "Turock" (with Astral Doors and Secret Sphere)

29.10. - D - Köln - "Underground" (with Astral Doors and Secret Sphere)

Sadly, because of familiar reasons, DOMAIN has to part ways with drummer Stefan Köllner. For the upcoming tour, the drumchair will be taken by Jens Baar (Illectronic), who is a long time friend of bassplayer Steven Wussow.
Furthermore, DOMAIN will showcase vocalist Nicolaj Ruhnow for the first time.

"DOMAIN proudly announces Nicolaj Ruhnow as the new frontman. Nicolaj, who filled the vocal position of the powermetal band IRONY and his solo-project NICK HELLFORT so far, will be heard first time at the yet untitled upcoming DOMAIN album, which will be released in spring 2008.

there is a great new download service in town, called We7!

We7 makes it possible for you to enjoy free DOMAIN music downloads - but the artist still gets paid! Every time you download a free MP3 or video from We7, a small payment will be made to the relevant artist.
This is because they allow global brands and companies to include a message on the music tracks that users download for free, for up to 10 seconds or less on audio. So you download music for free, brands pay for their message and your favourite musicians and artists get paid!
To get your DOMAIN songs for free, first we have to get DOMAIN on the playlist of We7. To make this happen, DOMAIN needs your help.
We7 got a section called "Tastemaker". These Tastemakers decide whether or not a band will be downloadable on the site. So all you have to do is to sign in at www.we7.com and enter the Tastemaker site. Choose "Rock" and rate the songs who are offered for the Tastemakers.
After a few songs of different artists, the DOMAIN songs will appear on the list. Here you can choose a rating for the songs, the higher the rating, the earlier the songs will find their way at the download list.

July, 17th 2007: Chity Somapala leaving DOMAIN

Hi everybody,

Unfortunately, because of appointment- and contract-related differences, the intended cooperation between DOMAIN and Chity Somapala to the upcoming album, which will be released in spring 2008, had to be canceled in the short term.

After two conjoint shows, the parties separated amicable, which gives rise to the fact that DOMAIN is still looking for an adequate singer. because of some defaults of the local promoter, the Angeldays-Festival has been unexpected canceled today. Needless to say that all of us are very angry about this near-term decision.

Beside acts like HAMMERFALL, EDGUY und MASTERPLAN the track "Temple Of The Earth" has been released at the sampler "Melodic Rock Of The 21st Century Volume 2", "Crystal Stone Island" took place at the actual Swedenrock Sampler.

April, 9th 2007: New Download Shop Opened

Hi everybody,

because of the anew flaming up dicussions regarding the legal download formats, we finally decided to offer our complete works in the MP3 format as well. That means that all tracks will be running on every player, both iPod and Windows Media player, you´re not forced to check the compabillity with your players anymore.

For these purposes, a new download shop, named TONETRADES, has been founded. The files will be offered in an extra high datarate by 192 kbit and assure a non-restrictive access to all players.

You can buy almost all songs of DOMAIN, all titles when Axel joined in ZÜNDER, all tracks of the band REISSFEST (the former band of Erdmann) and all the productions Axel did as a producer for example LUZIFER SAM (Dark-Rock), MAGHAZI (Thrash-Metal) and GASVILLE (Grunge-Pop). Keep an eye on the complete album downloads, regarding the price it´s a real bargain.

At the moment, the access to the TONETRADERS online shop is only available in Germany, but if you got a valid bank account in Germany, you can buy the tracks even when you´re living in foreign countries. Further on still you can buy our songs worldwide at iTunes, AOL and Musicload.

April, 7th 2007: Musikmesse Frankfurt

Hi everybody,

as every year in march, the world biggest musical instrument event, the Musikmesse Frankfurt, takes place in Frankfurt, Germany. I went to the show to meet my friends and colleagues of the musical industry, see the latest products and have some inspiring chats.

The day closes down with a personal invitation to the Warwick Award 2007 at the Maritim hotel Frankfurt, where I had the chance to party with such famous artists like Kerry King (Slayer), Yenz Leonhardt (Lacrimosa), bass legend Jonas Hellborg and the son of Jaco Pastorius, Felix Pastorius.
